I don’t know if this is related to the recent YouTube changes, but we’ll have to see. Is anyone else experiencing this? The YouTube app simply won’t recognise an internet connection is present. When I go into Settings and disable the VPN, YouTube immediately recognises the internet. But with ads, it’s unwatchable.
Last time something similar happened was last year, and it took Luna several weeks to fix it. I hope they’re now actively working on it again.
Yeah having same issue here. I found a workaround though, if you disable Luna VPN, open YouTube, refresh your subscription notifications lists etc. then tab out, re-enable Luna then you can play videos from the notification page, you might get a couple ads on the first couple videos but then Luna will kick in and work fine. The videos play fine, you just have to get creative.
Same applies if clicking on Lock Screen notification, they’ll open the video straight away and play (while you’ll get the same ‘connect to internet” on the comments and recommended videos tabs to the side of it lol).
I think they may have just fixed the problem here
Confirmed. I suspect this is an opening salvo aimed eventually across all platforms. Browser extensions included. UBlock Origin being high on the agenda I imagine.
Yup seems to be working again now.
is the problem still happening? my youtube app wont load video when Luna VPN connected, after its disconnect the youtube app works normally
