Here we go again. Indiana is jumping on the bandwagon with Kentucky, blocking access to Pornhub due to their new age-verification laws. Instead of dealing with the hassle of verifying users by their IDs, Pornhub just noped out.
I get it, some folks might not care much about porn, but that’s not the point. It’s about the principle. We’re talking about government overreach. When Utah pulled a similar stunt last year, people quickly turned to VPN services, connecting to servers in states like Virginia and Utah to bypass the ban.
If you’re in Indiana and getting hit by this, it seems like using a VPN is the way to go, just connect to a server in a state that’s not blocked by Pornhub. NordVPN, for instance, is a popular choice I saw mentioned frequently on Reddit (plus managed to find some discounts; “redditoffer” code is working successfully for now).
Is anyone else in Indiana already using a VPN? Does it work smoothly for accessing sites without dealing with these ridiculous restrictions?

Opera browser is free and has a free VPN built in.
I’ve been using a VPN for years since I started working in IT Security, so their law made me chuckle. All this money and time spent on a non issue with a very easy work around.
It’s proof the elected idiots didn’t do 1 bit of research on trying to solve a perceived problem that isn’t the state’s business.
I really hope that people aren’t dumb enough to give their ID to porn sites. It’s more about exerting control over people’s lives than it is about protecting kids. The policy positions our state government takes demonstrates that they don’t give a single fuck about children.
Indiana does realize reddits a thing and so is MILLIONS of OTHER porn sites… right ? Same idiots doing this are the exact ones who wont legalize MEDICAL marijuana either. Shithole of a state. ALSO, this is 100% a violation of free speech, censoring people from websites that are perfectly legal elsewhere
Just set the VPN to any state or country that doesn’t have this stupid law. There are hundreds to choose from.
I’ve rocked my shit like 50 times to the hub between the time they unblocked it and you posting this.
I’ve been using a VPN for years now just to sidestep streaming services and keep crap out of my phone.
It’s blocked again and I love loosing freedoms
The man can’t keep me down. I’ve had Surfshark VPN since Saturday and I’ve been a happy camper
How can we fight this. Seriously I don’t shouldn’t have to jump through more hoops just to be a fucking adult. I understand kids shouldn’t be able to get access but that’s what parental supervision and support is for. What can we do as citizens in Indiana to change this?
I need a solution for Android
I live In Michigan and somehow my access is restricted…mind you it still says “your elected officials in Indiana blah blah blah.” Ig they figured since it’s a state away they would just block our access too lmao. It’s still not Indiana though tf…
if yall got an iphone search private relay in settings then turn on then change to use time zone and country. 9/10 times it works
I don’t even live in Indiana! I live in Michigan and I’m still blocked!
The law is temporarily blocked.
