The book ‘Fatherland: picturesque history. From Ragneda to Kasciushka’

The writer Uladzimir Arlou and the illustrator Pavel Tatarnikau have introduced the new book ‘Fatherland: picturesque history. From Ragneda to Kasciushka’.

It took six years for Pavel Tatarnikau and four years for Uladzimir Arlou to create the book. To compare this book with the previous book by Arlou, it is the version of the book ‘The Country of Belraus’ for kids and youth. The book will comprise two volumes and cover the history of Belarus from the time when the ancient people appeared on its territory to time when Belarus reestablished itself as an independed state.

The edition was sponsored by Pavel Beragovich.

Exhibition ‘Echo’ in Grodno

Exhibition ‘Echo’ is the first collaborative project of the Grodno center and the famous gallery “Kryga.

Exhibition presents the part of the series of works devoted to historical persons and places connected to Belarus: the portraits of the prominent figures from Ragneda to Tadeush Kosciuszko as well as the views of the cities and the artistic reconstructions of the castles and towns.

Exhibition «Pavel Tatarnikau - Illustrator of ancient worlds»

The exhibition of illustrations by Pavel Tatarnikau was organized as a part of the annual fair of Lucca Comics and Games (Lucca, Italy) and devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Lucca Junior, the section for the young guests of the festival. During the fair the artist gave a series of the master classes for the visitors of the exhibition which was set up in the halls of the ancient Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale).

Plein-air «Dolna Wisła»

Swiatlana Dziemidowich, Aliaksandr Grishkievich, Pavel Tatarnikov and Siarhiej Hryniewich took part in plein-air «Dolna Wisła» that was organized in Gruchno (Poland). The coordinator of the event is a talented Polish artist Lukash Lewandowski.

The artworks were devoted to the images and the landscapes of the Lower Wisla. The final exhibition took place within the traditional early food festival in Gruchno.

The art exhibition «Artist and City» will be opened on Jakub Kolas Square in Minsk on April, 23 and will be available for the audience by August,1.

VI international exhibition of graphic «Art Line»

VI international exhibition of graphic «Art Line» was opened in the National Library of Belarus in Minsk. The project «Art Line» has proved once again its status of the most representative exhibitions in the country. This year «Art Line» was devoted to the 500-th anniversary of etching.

The contemporary part of the exhibition demonstrated the works of the artists from Belarus, Russia and Poland.  The Belarusian art was presented by Genadz Papalauski, Mihail Barzdyka, Uladzimir Pravidohin, Pavel Tatarnikau, Yuriy Jakavenka, Yuriy Hilko, Sjargei Baljanok and others.

Exhibition «Face of History»

The art exhibition «Face of History» from the private collection of Pavel Tatarnikov will take place at the Nesvizh palace - park complex from 28 November to 13 December.

The exhibition displays the illustrated historic reconstructions of the Belarusian towns and castles. Belarusian graphic artist, the illustrator of fairytales and historic literature creates his own magic world where the imagination entwines with the reality.

The nominees of the V contest of book illustration «Image of Book» were awarded during the 25-th Moscow international book fair.

Pavel Tatarnikov has become one of the winners in nomination «The best illustrations for the book for kids and youth» for the illustrations to «The Princess in the Underground Kingdom».
